I was born and raised in Puyallup, Washington and moved to Vashon Island a few years ago. I attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington where I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts. After graduation, I worked as a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines before finding my true calling: teaching! I went back to school and earned my Masters of Arts in Education and taught First Grade for two years in the Tacoma School District. 

I am GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) trained and believe that setting high expectations for behavior and academic achievement while providing consistency and structured supports builds a positive and safe classroom environment.
