The McMurray Healthy Living program consists of two subject areas: physical education and health. These two subjects are integrated into one course. The health portion of the class will complement the physical activity in PE and will include the Second Step curriculum targeting social/emotion learning and the Get Real sexuality curriculum. We will alternate between activity days in the gym and classroom days in South Hall. The weekly schedule is Tuesday and Friday in the classroom (Health), Monday and Wednesday in the gym (PE) and Thursdays are to be determined due to altered PDD schedules.
I use information from my Teacherweb page routinely in this course and I encourage you to visit my Healthy Living pages so that you may become familiar with my systems.

What you will find:
- Copies of all introductory handouts
- Weekly descriptions of concepts and activities occurring in class
- Links to all current and past assignments
As much as possible, I would like to encourage my students to become independent thinkers and learners. If students have been absent, I expect them to access my Teacherweb page before returning to class to see if they missed any assignments, and begin working on them, (if possible) to try to remain current in their coursework.
The most effective way to communicate with me is via email. If you would like to speak with me directly, please email me with your concern and a phone number where I can best reach you. I will try to return phone calls and emails on the same day that they were received. However, I do ask for a certain degree of flexibility to accommodate my teaching and coaching schedules.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns that you or your child may have during the semester. I love feedback and want to hear from you!
