I am a Vashon native who took off for about 15 years to explore, learn a language, have babies and finally figure out, "there´s no place like home." I returned home in 2011 and can’t imagine being anywhere else in the world right now.

My background is in education. I have been teaching for the past 19 years for various ages, and most recently as a first grade teacher here at Chautauqua before finally landing in PE, which I love the most. I feel so lucky that I get to spend my days teaching children the importance of physical activity and how to live healthy lives. Plus, I get to participate in so many of the activities we do in class, keeping myself healthy as well. It is a true gift.
