PTSA Auction, Saturday February 11
PTSA presents An Auction Affair for the Love of Education, Saturday, February 11 from 5pm to 11pm at the Vashon Golf & Swim Club (dessert and dancing from 8pm to 11pm). Tickets are on sale now at the Vashon Book Shop, the Little House, and Movie Magic. Tickets are $35, must be 21 and over to attend. Additional information is available on PTSA’s website. If you would like to volunteer, signup boards are out in the Chautauqua lobby.
VHS Design Development Documents

Renewal of the Technology and Capital Projects Levy
On February 14, 2012 the Vashon Island School District will ask its voters to renew the technology and capital projects levy for four years. This levy provides funding for major repair, improvements, and preventive maintenance of district facilities and equipment, and funding for technology operations and equipment. “Basic Education Funding” provided by the State of Washington is not sufficient to fully fund our District’s operating expenses or our capital facility maintenance and technology programs. Renewal of this levy ensures the continuing excellence of our school programs and maintains the investment in our school facilities through funding:
- Major repairs, improvements and preventive maintenance needed to maintain our investment in our school facilities and equipment
- Instructional Technology and network upgrades for teaching, student computing, presentations, publishing, special education, and District operations
